Senior design engineer at Genesys wins award

The David Robinson Award recognises achievements in information, telecommunications and electronics engineering; and is intended to enhance the ongoing professional development of the recipient.

The award is presented in memory of The Institution of Radio and Electronics Engineers (IREE) and is named in honour of the late Dr David Errol Robinson AM.

The IREE represented the profession of radio and electronics engineering in Australia for many years, while David Robinson was an outstanding Australian Electronics Engineer, former President of the Institution of Radio and Electronics Engineers (IREE) and a world-renowned expert on ultrasound technology.

Matthew Sheedy, Senior Design Engineer at Genesys Electronics Design, is thrilled to have won the 2016 David Robinson award.

Genesys CEO Geoff Sizer (l) congratulates Matt Sheedy on receiving his award.

According to Matt, winning this award is a testament that through hard work, dedication fuelled by a continued passion to design and innovate, and volunteering your time, your peers will recognise your efforts.

Matt holds a Computer Systems Engineer with Honours, Masters of Engineering Management and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering. He has also received a number of other community, sporting and academic awards.
