Tzukuri Unlosable Glasses

Next-generation skin dosimetry technology for safer cancer treatment

Losing glasses is a common and costly problem. Tzukuri set out to solve this challenge by creating stylish eyewear with integrated Bluetooth tracking technology that helps users locate misplaced glasses through a companion mobile application.

Genesys partnered with Tzukuri to develop the electronics, embedded software, charging system, and manufacturing solution required to bring the product to market.

The Challenge

The primary challenge was fitting all electronics within the arm of the glasses without compromising comfort, appearance, or performance.

The solution required:

  • An ultra-miniature PCB.

  • Reliable Bluetooth connectivity in a highly constrained space.

  • Long battery life from a very small battery.

  • A discreet charging solution.

  • A manufacturing process suitable for production.

The Solution

Genesys designed a compact embedded system that enables the glasses to communicate with a mobile application.

The system can:

  • Alert users when their glasses are left behind.

  • Record the last known location of the glasses.

  • Help users quickly locate misplaced eyewear.

To support the sleek industrial design, Genesys developed an ultra-miniature PCB, low-power firmware, and a custom charging solution integrated into the spectacle frame.
