Air Purifier and Sanitiser
Poor indoor air quality has become an increasing concern in homes, workplaces and public environments. While conventional air purifiers rely on drawing contaminated air through filters, this approach can limit their ability to address airborne pathogens before they reach the device.
VBreathe developed the Tasman, an innovative air purification and sanitisation system that combines natural active vapour technology, HEPA filtration and smart sensing to improve indoor air quality.
Genesys partnered with VBreathe to develop the electronics, embedded software, companion mobile application and manufacturing-ready hardware required to bring the product to market

The Challenge
The Tasman required a compact, reliable electronics platform capable of integrating multiple sensing, communication and control functions into a quiet, energy-efficient consumer product.
The solution needed to provide:
-
Low-noise fan control for continuous operation.
-
Accurate environmental sensing and air quality monitoring.
-
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
-
A simple and intuitive user interface.
-
Battery-powered operation with low energy consumption.
-
A manufacturable design suitable for volume production.

The Solution
Genesys designed the complete electronic control system that powers the Tasman air purifier.
The embedded platform manages the device’s fans, sensors, battery management and LED user interface while maintaining low power consumption and quiet operation.
Wireless Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity enable users to remotely monitor and control the device while securely transferring air quality data.
Genesys also developed the companion mobile application, allowing users to:
-
Monitor real-time air quality.
-
View environmental sensor data.
-
Configure operating modes.
-
Manage device settings.
-
Receive firmware updates.
The electronics were engineered for reliable long-term operation while supporting efficient manufacturing and future product updates.
Genesys Engineering Contribution
