Radetec Diagnostics is developing a breakthrough portable diagnostic platform capable of detecting multiple infectious pathogens in a single test.
After being awarded the 2025 Genesys MedTech Grant, Radetec partnered with Genesys to design and develop the mobile application that enables real-time diagnostics, device control, and data visualisation.
About Radetec
Radetec Diagnostics is developing a new generation of portable diagnostic technology designed to detect infectious pathogens quickly and accurately at the point-of-need.
Their platform enables diagnostic testing outside of traditional laboratories whether in the field, in an ambulance, or even at home.
This technology is currently used in veterinary research, including the detection of infections in wildlife such as koalas, with the long-term vision of bringing the technology to human healthcare
The Challenge and Solution
Infectious disease testing traditionally requires laboratory equipment, trained personnel, and long turnaround times.
For situations such as field research, remote environments, or emergency medical settings, there is a growing need for diagnostic tests that are fast, portable, and highly sensitive.
To bring portable diagnostics to real-world environments, Radetec required a reliable and intuitive mobile application capable of operating the device and visualising diagnostic results in real time.
Genesys Electronics Design partnered with Radetec to design and develop the mobile application that connects directly to the diagnostic device, enabling users to easily initiate tests, monitor progress, and visualise results in real time.

Impact and Collaboration
Radetec was awarded the 2025 Genesys MedTech Grant, a program supporting innovative healthcare startups with engineering expertise and development support.
Through this collaboration, Genesys developed the mobile application that connects directly with Radetec’s portable diagnostic device.
The result is a platform that enables portable testing, real-time result visualisation, and better traceability of diagnostic data in field and clinical environments.
