The system comprises a suite of microcontroller and PC based hardware, firmware and software elements which formulate a complete parking meter management system. The heart of the system is the Reino multi-bay parking meter, which is microcontroller-based and incorporates novel features such as a 12mm thick glass or polycarbonate touch panel.

The Reino system includes robust networked communications, electronic cashbox audit facilities and PC based management and networking facilities. The system design is covered by a number of international patents.
