Medical research has shown that there is a definite link between chronic back pain and bad posture. The spinal sensor is a system that monitors spinal curvature and that provides feedback useful for training a patient to sit, stand and lift with correct posture.

The system consists of sensor and a console. The sensor is a compact, wireless and rechargeable device that is medically adhered to the patients back. The sensor monitors spinal curvature and can be set to vibrate when poor posture is detected. The console is a hand-held device that has an LCD display. It communicates with the sensor via a short range wireless link and can be used to program the sensor and report curvature values and statistics.
